“The Vampire Diaries” has made it to six seasons without any of the love teams ending in matrimony, but now a happily ever after for Alaric Saltzman and Josette Parker lies ahead in the next episodes to come. Amidst the drama with Elena’s decision to take the vampire cure and Caroline’s resistance to turning on her humanity, Nina Dobrev appeared to confirm that the two characters will be present at the Jo-Alaric nuptials.

TVLine exclusively presented the first look of the bride and groom standing in front of the altar -- Alaric wearing a sleek black tuxedo facing his wife-to-be while Jo donning is wearing a stunning white gown. Now CW has also released photos of Elena (Dobrev) and the Salvatore brothers Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) sporting formal attires, confirming the attendance of the TVD “Big 3” in the black-tie event.

However, it appears that not everyone will be showing up to see the happy couple tie the knot; no pictures of Bonnie (Kat Graham) in a nice dress has revealed, while Caroline (Candice Accola) was only seen from behind, making it hard to predict if she will be in the wedding. Now thanks to Dobrev, Caroline’s attendance was confirmed through a photo that has been recently leaked in the internet.

While it seems like at least one couple will finally have the future they wanted together, executive producer Caroline Dries warns the viewers that “bloodshed” during the pre-wedding festivities might be underway, so it might be too soon to celebrate, TVLine previously stated. However, fans of the show still hope that Jo and Alaric would finally end up together for real, given that Alaric has had some of the most painful endeavors in the past seasons.

The vampire series’ sixth season will soon have its finale on May 14 and there are still many different stories to be told in the last three episodes. Events that would lead to the departure of Dobrev, who announced her official exit from the show earlier this month, are still unknown although previous reports claim that it would all depend on whether or not Damon will take the vampire cure with her character Elena.
