The 2014 PaleyFest promo video for the upcoming episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" had the Travellers' leader Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) reveal that he is the reason why doppelgangers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) are drawn to each other. Now, the promo video for Episode 18 titled "Resident Evil" show the connection between the two with Elena having romantic dreams about her ex-boyfriend.

"Stelena" or Stefan-Elena fans will be pleased to see their favorite couple together again even in dream-type sequences. According to the Enstars report, Elena's romantic visions with Stefan includes flirting in the kitchen, kissing and even kids running around inside their home.

In the promo video, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finds out about Elena's Stefan dreams so an awkward conversation between the two surfaced. "So, having sex dreams about my brother, huh?" Damon asked.

"Wow, yeah, OK. That's one way to change the topic," Elena responded. Actor Paul Wesley shared that his character, Stefan, already accepted the Damon-Elena relationship but he has not totally cut Elena out of his life yet. "There are always residual feelings with anyone that you're ever with romantically," the 31-year-old actor explained to TVLine.

Another couple getting focused in the upcoming episode will be Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen). The "Anchor to the Other Side" is going to be "hurt and angry" at Jeremy in Episode 18 after learning about the hunter's sneaky move of teaming up with witch Liv (Penelope Mitchell).

The synopsis for Episode 18 "Resident" Evil in the Wet Paint report reads: "Bonnie has a disturbing encounter with Grams (guest star Jasmine Guy), who warns her about frightening changes on the Other Side. Enzo gives Damon unwanted relationship advice, then admits he is searching for a woman he loved decades before while he was held captive by the Augustines. Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) enlists Matt, Jeremy and Tyler to help track the Travelers and keep them from taking control of Mystic Falls. Bonnie is hurt and angry when she learns that Jeremy is working with Liv behind her back. Luke (guest star Chris Brochu) shows up at the Salvatore house and explains what he knows about Markos (guest star Raffi Barsoumian) and the Travelers to Damon, Elena and Enzo. Matt has a terrifying encounter with inhabitants of the Other Side. Finally, when Damon finds Markos, he is both relieved and disturbed by what Markos has to tell him."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 is currently on a long hiatus. Fans will have to patiently wait for the TV series to resume airing on April 17, 2014 at 8 pm ET on the CW Network with the Paul Wesley-directed Episode 18 "Resident Evil."
