'The Vampire Diaries' Star Ian Somerhalder Posts Selfie with 2014 People's Choice Award, Says He Loves Nina Dobrev on Her Birthday [PHOTOS]
"The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) star Ian Somerhalder posted a selfie on his official Instagram account while holding his 2014 People's Choice Award (PCA), which he won for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor. He also won the Favorite On-Screen Chemistry award with TVD co-star Nina Dobrev. Somerhalder even hung out with Dobrev on her 25th birthday and greeted her on Twitter, saying that he loves her.
Somerhalder's Instagram selfie was captioned with a brief but sweet message to his TVD fans and crew. Click HERE to see it.
"Love you all... This is for you- and out TVD crew;)," wrote Somerhalder on his Instagram account.
Somerhalder also spent some quality time with Nina Dobrev, his co-star from "The Vampire Diaries" and his former flame.
Somerhalder ignited rumours of him and Dobrev getting back together when he kissed her on stage at the 2014 People's Choice Awards after they won for Best Chemistry. Granted, it was just a peck on the cheek, but it was more than enough to get fans speculating once more on whether or not their favourite TVD couple is back on after splitting in May 2013.

Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert on "The Vampire Diaries," just celebrated her 25th birthday on Jan. 9, 2014. She spent it with Somerhalder, best friend Julianne Hough (actress and dancer) and TVD producer Kevin Williamson. Williamson tweeted a picture of Dobrev with Somerhalder and Hough. Dobrev and Somerhalder have remained friendly even after breaking up. They still tweet each other messages once in a while and hang out from time to time. Dobrev greeted Somerhalder too on his 35th birthday last Dec. 8, 2013.

Hough's brother, Derek, who was briefly linked to Dobrev, also greeted her on his Twitter account.
"Happy Birthday 2 the magnificent @ninadobrev . U bring joy 2 so many lives , have a beautiful day . & cngrts on yr awesome win last nite !!!," tweeted Derek to Nina.
Dobrev spent Christmas with Derek and his family. She was recently in Australia for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day festivities. She was even seen chatting with former TVD star Nathaniel Buzolic, who played Kol Mikaelson, one of the Original Vampires.
On the other hand, Somerhalder spent the holidays in China and New Year's Eve in Tokyo, Japan. He was recently on a beach in Mexico before heading back home to the U.S. just in time for the 2014 People's Choice Awards.
