After 14 years of blissful relationship, Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp called it quits in June 2012 and shared custody to their two children, Lily Rose, 14, and Jack, 11. And now, less than two years after their controversial split, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is engaged to Amber Heard.

Depp and Heard met in the set of their movie "The Rum Diary" back in 2011 and the two have been dating for about a year-and-a-half now. The 27-year-old actress is the fourth woman that Depp has been engaged to; he has been married once to Lori Anne Allison from 1963 to 1985.

His recent engagement to the younger actress shocked so many people but not ex-partner Vanessa Paradis. Reports says that the 50-year-old actor called Vanessa to tell her about the news of his engagement and Paradis gave him her blessing.

According to a source of Us Weekly, "There's no drama. Vanessa wished him happiness." "She's not bitter. She's happy," says that insider. This is because the talented actress also moved on and is now in relationship with French pop star Benjamin Biolay.

The engagement was confirmed when Heard was spotted wearing a huge diamond sparkler in an elaborate platinum setting on her ring finger in West Hollywood on Jan. 13. And according to sources, the engagement happened a while back.

"The proposal happened a couple of months ago," reveals a friend of the "The Rum Diary" actress. "She just hasn't been wearing the ring." The soon-to-be Mrs. Depp was enjoying a night out with a female friend when was photographed with her engagement ring.

The newly engaged couple attended the Art Of Elysium's Heaven Gala in Los Angeles earlier this month, their first public appearance as a couple. Although Heard walked the red carpet alone, the two met up inside the event.

According to witnesses, they looked completely inlove as they posed together for photographers. While the Depp and Heard are enjoying their newly found bliss, Paradis is debuting a new do as she cuts her blond locks and styled it short with a brunette curly hairstyle.
