Australian pop duo The Veronicas have announced a series of new tours in their country from next February in a bid to promote their self-titled third album. The twin sister duo, Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, returned to the music scene in October when their lead single "You Ruin Me" from their latest album shot straight to No.1 position on the Australian charts.

The ladies are currently on their U.S. tour, with popular Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer. This will be their first ever Aussie tour in more than six years.

"It's not going to be anything that's ever been done a great deal on the scale that we're doing it. We want to make it a really special experience for the fans, for anyone who wants to come and see the show," said Jessica, according to Yahoo News Australia.

The girls blame record label Warner Brothers for "ruining" four years of their career as the label delayed the release of their album. The duo says that there were no personal differences betwee them and the label, but there was a lot of changes in the top management (the CEO's etc) and at one time they were left with no one who had worked with them on the album.

"So it became a bit of a battle, and it took one big bad-assed lawyer to help us get the hell out of that situation. It tests your faith, it tests your self-assurance and your confidence," the duo said to the BBC.

Following the lawsuit, the girl band severed ties with Warner Brothers and were roped in by Sony Music to work for them. Sony is now planning to release their "revamped" album next year.

The duo has now announced a tour where they will perform in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. The girls said in a statement that they are "thrilled" to perform live on stage after so many years. Tickets are set to go on sale for the general public from 9:00 a.m. local time on Thursday Nov. 27. Check out the dates and venues of the tour below:
