"Vertigo" actress Kim Novak stricken with breast cancer
Hollywood actress Kim Novak is stricken with breast cancer. Novak's manager said the 77-year old actress is currently undergoing treatment.
Sue Cameron, Kim Novak's manager, told The Hollywood Reporter: "It was caught early by a routine yearly mammogram and (she) is undergoing treatment."
"All her doctors say she is in fantastic physical shape and should recover very well."
Incidentally, October is breast cancer awareness month. Easy A actress Emma Stone also came out with the new that her mother had recovered from cancer. (See full report here.) Fans could hope the same for Kim Novak who, manager Cameron says, exercise daily and even ride horses.
Kim Novak appeared in the classic films "Pal Joey," "Bell, Book and Candle" and "Vertigo," and the TV series "Falcon Crest." Novak last appeared in 1991 movie "Liebestraum" in 1991. However, Novak's scenes were cut after she an altercation with its director Mike Figgis.
Kim Novak is now retired from acting and lives with her husband Dr. Robert Malloy in Oregon.
