It seems like all systems are go with ABC's Thanksgiving special, "A Very Gaga Thanksgiving."

The show, which is scheduled to air Nov. 24, will feature the eccentric performer singing, of course, but also give an idea of the experiences that made a very run-of-the-mill Stefani Germanotta into the dynamic powerhouse that the world now knows as Lady Gaga.

The documentary will feature personalities such as Katie Couric, Tony Bennett and chef Art Smith.

Gaga will be singing her new songs, "Marry the Night," "You and I" in addition to the hit, "Edge of Glory." Also on the line up are her duet of "The Lady is a Tramp" with Tony Bennett and the old holiday standard, "White Christmas." The performances alone promise to be worth tuning in, but there is more to this exclusive.

The sit-down with Couric was done in the 25-year-old singer's former school, the Sacred Heart Catholic School in Manhattan. It's an appropriate setting as Couric touches on the artist's life before her fame. Details about her life away from the spotlight with family and friends come to light as well as her inspirations for her hit songs. The TV special promises to deliver the goods on the singer's past as a normal Catholic school girl.

"We all know Lady Gaga is a phenomenon. This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers. ... She will impress you, delight you and surprise you," Couric said.

While this is not the first documentary on Gaga (earlier this year the CW aired a special on the pop star being interviewed by one of her favourite designers, Jean Paul Gaultier, called "Gaga by Gaultier"), ABC guarantees fans that this is the most personal portrait of Gaga yet.
