Victoria Beckham pulled off a momentous New York Fashion Week show Sunday morning, receiving a euphoric round of applause from the audience, which includes her husband David Beckham in the front row.

The former Spice Girl's designs are made of lines that give a vibe of sophistication and soft layers that render a relaxed youthful look for a well-balanced ensemble. Tiers and lattice patterns were smartly used in the creations, giving each piece a chic and marvelous feel about it.

Beckham has said she focused on textures rather than colours this time, which explains why black and white with an element of red are the only shades seen on her show.

Posh Spice matched her collection with perky Manolo Blahnik shoes, mostly peep-toe boots in flashy details.

Speaking to AFP, Beckham described her spring-summer collection as "versatile, modern, and there is an ease about it."

An enthusiastic crowd cheered wildly when the fabulous Mrs. Beckham came out to walk the runway after her show. Photos of the momentous event can be seen here.

Present on Beckham's show was Tracy Reese, whose design was chosen by First Lady Michelle Obama for her speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Did Victoria convince Katie Holmes to move the latter's Fashion Week show?

Could it be true that Victoria Beckham convinced Katie Holmes to move her first-ever fashion week show?

Mrs. Beckham has long announced her show would be held Sept. 9 when news of Katie Holmes fashion week date was publicized last month.

Holmes was reportedly confident that the press and VIPs would come see her show as a priority knowing that people would be curious to see the former Mrs. Tom Cruise and her first fashion collection. However, Mrs. Beckham, someone known to be very close to Holmes for a while, was not going to allow it.

Victoria reportedly made some calls, even threats, and her efforts reportedly resulted in a new show date (Sept. 12) for Katie Holmes. The question now is: Could Holmes top Beckham on the runway?
