The Academy Awards is near and for a designer to be handpicked by these famous celebrities to style them for one of Hollywood's most prestigious event, it is undeniably a mark of success. Joining the list of designers and stylists whose gowns grace the red carpet every year is former Spice girl turned designer Victoria Beckham.

A-list actresses like Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and Charlize Theron have recently expressed their interest to be dressed up by none other than Victoria Beckham on Hollywood's biggest night.

According to an insider close to Victoria, the mother of four has been working day and night juggling her tasks as a designer and a mother most especially to her new baby girl Harper. The source also confirmed that indeed, former Posh Spice received requests for Oscar gowns which they are currently working hard on to fulfill.

"We do have requests in from stylists for the Oscars, but as our team is so small we don't have the opportunity to custom make dresses like the bigger fashion houses," Victoria Beckham's spokesperson told MailOnline.

"Nor do we have the big budgets to pay people to endorse our brand, so it's really a waiting game and we won't know until the night if any of our dresses will be worn."

Some of her designs have been worn by top notch celebrities like Blake Lively, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Elle Macpherson. Most recently, the critically acclaimed actress and currently Academy Awards nominee Michelle Williams chose a Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress to attend the Academy Awards luncheon. A source close to the designer said that Victoria was delighted that Michelle chose her design.
