Victoria and David Beckham: Source denies divorce rumours over Victoria's fading 'undying love' tattoo for David
A source close to Victoria Beckham has denied rumours of marriage troubles with her husband David. The former “Spice Girls” singer was hit with divorce claims recently after it was reported that she had wanted to remove her tattoos signifying her “undying love” for David.
According to Mirror UK, the source has slammed the rumours as complete “nonsense.” Victoria and David, who have been married for 16 years, are still reportedly happily married despite claims they are on the verge of a divorce because of their busy schedules.
“The family were together for seven weeks on holiday recently. It’s all rubbish,” the source said.
The couple reportedly spent their summer holiday with their children in Los Angeles earlier this year. David was also there to support his wife during her runway show at the New York Fashion Week.
Victoria and David’s marriage came under scrutiny recently because of the fashion designer’s tattoos dedicated to her husband. The ink running down her nape, which The Sun said signifies her “undying love” for David, is said to be slowly fading as a result of Victoria's attempt to laser and remove it.
The Hebrew tattoo is translated as “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” However, according to those close to the singer, the tattoo is simply dimming over time, but Victoria has no intention of removing it.
Meanwhile, a couple of Victoria's wrist tattoos have reportedly been lasered. These include a Latin tattoo that says “again from the start” and another representing the date Victoria and David renewed their wedding vows. A source told The Sun that it’s surprising that Victoria “would so readily get rid of ones that had such sentimental meaning to her in the past.”
It’s believed the couple’s marriage is also on the rocks because of David’s social friends, whom Victoria doesn’t approve of. Another source mentioned that Victoria was against David’s ties to action star Jason Statham and his girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
“It’s caused tension between them lately, which they’ve tried to keep a lid on. She’s not a fan of him hanging around Jason and Rosie in the same way she apparently didn’t like his friendship with Charlize Theron a few years back, although of course nothing happened between them,” the insider told The Sun.
However, the source close to Victoria has also denied that David is friends with Jason and Rosie.
