Victoria's Secret show is expected to be a star-studded affair, with young and hip music stars attending it. Taylor Swift is going to be part of the show again after a noteworthy performance at the last year's show. She and Ariana Grande are set to open the highly-anticipated show this year.

It was only last year when Taylor Swift stormed down the runway of the Victoria's Secret show while singing her single "I Knew You Were Trouble" powerfully. It was a nice way to end the show. This year, other popular pop singers Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, and Hozier are joining Taylor Swift.

Victoria's Secret took to Twitter and confirmed the news. The lingerie company shared how happy they are to have booked the "Shake It Off' singer again.

Taylor Swift joins in the ranks of other female pop stars who have graced the show, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj. An article by Salon.com claims that Victoria Secret finally realises that female pop stars as opposed to male singers are more effective when petite and beautiful models are strutting their stuff on the runway and having male singers often convey the wrong message.

According to Salon.com, the fashion show is not about a "video shoot," or a "romance narrative." The male singers, often, misconstrue the show to be that. Rather, it's about celebrating both glamour and fun. When Justin Timberlake performed at a lingerie brand's show, it was thought to be too painful to watch as models, who were scantily clad, walked straight without looking at him as he sighed and moaned onstage. Female pop singers, on the other hand, can actually interact with the models. "The women of pop seem to get it - they've been working the line between sexy and campy for years now," the article says.

The A-list models who are walking the runway this year are Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, Elsa Hosk, Lindsay Ellingson, Doutzen Kroes and even one of Taylor's best friends, Karlie Kloss. Showgoers can also see the highly coveted and very expensive, Dream Angel Fantasy Bras, valued at $2 million per piece, being paraded by seasoned models Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio.

The show is set to be held in London and it is scheduled to air on Dec. 09 on CBS.
