Video of Hope: Syrian Father Reunited with Son, He Believed was Killed in Chemical Attack Now Viral
Amid the chaos, there remains hope. And in a twist of events nobody expected, a video has surfaced which showed the moving reunion of a Syrian father with his toddler son who he believed was one of the fatalities of that fateful chemical attack in Damascus, Syria on Aug 21.
Posted by Syrian activists on Monday, the video showed the pure, raw emotion of a father who cannot seem to believe to see one member of his family still alive, much more someone who would carry on his name and legacy.
The video showed the young Syrian father, attended by older men, hurrying to the door entrance to see his very young son.
The video's title was in Arabic, which translated by the Huffington Post, read, "Many people lost their sons and relatives. Alive, dead, [THEY] do not know anything."
"[THIS IS A] very touching meet up with his son after he lost [HIM] due to the chemical bombing of Zamalka."
People around the father and son duo shouted incessantly "Allah Akhbar," which meant God is great.
At first glimpse of his son after the chemical attack, the father cried, hugged the boy and kissed him. Other people who surrounded him had to pull away the child for fear the father might drop him because he was almost close to fainting.
