Dynamo has once again stupefied viewers with his latest trick. The English magician has caught the attention of online citizens with his bus-levitating illusion. But while his new flying talent seems pretty impressive, many sleuths on the Internet saw it for what it really is: a trick.

A magician using tricks to perform magic? Say it isn’t so!

We all know that Dynamo didn’t really develop levitating skills overnight, but what is surprising is, after learning how he did it, how easy that was.

In the video released by Pepsi Max, the illusionist is seen floating beside a double-decker bus, using one hand to lean lightly on the bus while the rest of his body appears to float on air. And as the bus drives around London, Dynamo brings out his phone using his left hand to record the stunned reaction of onlookers.

“This is one of the most exciting things I’ve ever attempted,” Dynamo, whose real name is Steven Frayne, said. “My partnership with Pepsi MAX is all about living for now and nothing explains this better than by taking one of London’s most iconic modes of transport and putting a different spin on the journey.

“The reaction of the public as I was travelling was incredible and it was great to see so many people taking in the excitement.”

The red bus wasn’t empty in the video, so perhaps it can be assumed that they were in on the ruse as well.

So how exactly did the magician do this trick?

It’s fairly simple, or so say the people of the Internet.

The arm in contact with the bus was fake. Upon closer look, Dynamo’s right hand looked strange, like it was too straight and rigid, abnormally still while the bus was in motion.

That’s because that wasn’t an arm but a pole, according to observers. It’s what was holding him while he floats by the side as well. His real arm was most probably tucked inside his clothes.

It’s hard to tell for sure since the video Pepsi has released has already been edited, but commenters on YouTube also pointed out that his fingers didn’t move at all during the bus ride.

Also, there were no people around when he levitated and went down from the side of the double-decker. No one witnessed how he just hovered up and down. So it’s just logical to assume that he did those things with the help of his crew, who attached him to a pole and helped hid his arm from the public.

There’s no official word from Pepsi or from Dynamo, but it’s really hard to argue with people on the Internet. So unless there’s proof that the magician can really fly, then it’s safe to conclude that he used a pole to “levitate.”
