"Watchmen" stars Carla Gugino and Malin Ackerman took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to the next level with their steamy video. Before getting doused with water the two actresses showed their on-screen chemistry with an actual girl-on-girl kiss.

Zack Snyder, director of "Batman V Superman," who also directed the "Watchmen" dared both actresses to the challenge. However, unlike other stars who had participated and started off their videos by getting drenched right away, both actresses opted for a different introduction.

The video below starts off with a sign that says "CHALLENGED BY ZACK SNYDER." Then the camera zooms in on the two stars who are sitting beside each other. They appear to be sitting on a rooftop somewhere. Both Malin Ackerman and Carla Gugino are also kissing passionately which Inquisitr suggests was done with little to no hesitation at all from either of them. The full-on, eyes closed and fervent kiss took about ten seconds while the Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg song identified by Daily Mail entitled "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus" plays in the background.

Then both stars were doused with the freezing cold bucket of water over their heads. Even when already drenched, they continued to kiss for a few more seconds until Carla broke free and laughed first. Then Malin cracked too. According to Inquisitr writer Scott Falkner, both actresses laughed "beyond belief" when they realised the "insanity of the situation."

Malin and Carla continued to laugh even while holding up signs written with the names of those they want to join on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The camera zooms in first on Gugino's sign with the names of fellow stars Danny DeVito, Juliette Lewis, and Jason Weinberg. Followed by Ackerman's that reads "Malin challenges Dan Stevens, Bradley Whitford, and Nicole Paone."

Uproxx reports that among the many ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos, this is actually the first time viewers saw two female celebrities making out on a rooftop. Daily Mail adds the video was the first thing Carla posted to her Twitter account in over four years. The 42-year old actress also captioned it with "This cause is worth me finally joining Twitter!@ MalinAkerman,@ZackSnyder, @DannyDeVito, ALSIceBucketChallenge."

According to the site, Malin Ackerman (Silk Spectre II) and Carla Gugino (Silk Spectre) played mother and daughter in "Watchmen." Although they may not be related in real life, Uproxx seems to suggest both stars may have just done an incestuous act with their passionate kiss for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Meanwhile, below are some reactions on the video from Twitter users.

And then when they did the challenge, they were kissing each other. Which technically means Silk Spectre is kissing her mom. Ew. Not ew, wow
