‘Vikings’ season 4 episode 19 spoilers: Lagertha against King Harald

“Vikings” season 4 episode 19 titled “On The Eve” will show the great army moving towards Wessex to revenge Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) death from King Ecbert (Linus Roache). On the other side, Kattegat will come under attack from King Harald (Charlie Kelly) led by Egil (Charlie Kelly). Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and other Vikings will supposedly be incompetent to fight their enemies.

Will Kattegat fall?

In the sneak peak, Lagertha can be seen running through the battle field. There’s lots of chaos as well as destruction in Kattegat as Vikings fight the enemies. Lagertha is keeping a close eye on the strong shield maiden. She soon realises that they are fighting in the wrong place. She tells her lover shield maiden Astrid (Josefin Asplund), “We are in the wrong place.” (Watch the sneak peak of “Vikings” season 4 episode 19 below.)

Who will die?

Death is definitely coming to one of the prominent characters of the show this season. However, it remains a mystery as to who that character is. Showrunner Michael Hirst said that the finale episodes will be “full of surprises.” He also hinted that a prominent character will die towards the end of the season. “And death. Death comes to important people,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

The one in danger as of now is Lagertha. The Seer (John Kavanagh) also predicted her death in the previous episodes saying that she will die in the hands of Ragnar’s sons. How and when will that happen remains to be seen.

Will King Ecbert be killed?

In the last episode, Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford) tells his father Ecbert that Ragnar’s sons will come after him as well. It seems that he was right: as in the forthcoming episode, it will come true. The great army will storm through the English countryside.

Ecbert might or might not die. However, one thing is certain that he isn’t dying in the episode 19 as the synopsis of the episode 20 mentions him already. Perhaps, the battle will continue in episode 20 as well.

“Vikings” season 4 episode 19 will be aired on Jan.25 at 9PM ET in the US. The show also airs in Australia on SBS One at 8:30PM.
