'Vikings' season 6: Ivar will be back in his old costume
Filming of “Vikings” season 6 continues, and one character who will continue to dominate the screen will be Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen). A new picture of Anderson relaxing in between takes shows the actor’s costume.
The next part of season 5 will show Ivar in a new avatar. After winning Kattegat, the character will get to wear some new clothes and apply some terrifying war paint, the trailer shows. However, he will be back in his old black clothes in season 6.
In the picture (see below), Anderson can be seen with a book. He's reading “The Nix” by Nathan Hill, which is a novel about a son who goes on a journey to discover secrets about his mother who left him. In this journey, the son reclaims his own life.
There are some similarities between “The Nix” and what is currently happening on the show. Ivar is on a journey to avenge the death of his mother, but in the process, he has already emerged as a powerful warlord. He may soon end up becoming a powerful king.
Meanwhile, fellow cast member Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn Lothbrok) shared a video online, showing the actor singing and playing the guitar. The actor revealed that he filmed the video while he was busy filming in Canada. Apart from his acting prowess, Ludwig appears to have some talent in singing as well.
The next part of “Vikings” season 5 is set to premiere some time later this year. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date. Meanwhile, filming for season 6 will continue. Apart from Ivar, Bjorn is expected to return on the show next year.
