Vin Diesel shared a new photo from his upcoming film "Fast & Furious 7" on social media. The photo featured Diesel with his deceased co-star in the film, Paul Walker.

Diesel apparently paid a tribute to his late friend with the photo which has been liked by more than 100,000 people on Facebook. Walker's death in November 2013 came as a shock to the film world as the 40-year-old was killed in a road accident. The sudden death made things uncertain for the highly awaited sequel "Fast & Furious 7" as Walker had not entirely finished his part of filming for the movie.

Diesel earlier mentioned on Facebook that he had watched the trailer of "Fast & Furious 7" that he found to be "incredible." He said that he was speechless after watching the trailer. Diesel wrote that the experience to watch to trailer was "bittersweet" and "emotional." He remembered Walker who must have been an obvious part of the upcoming movie. "We all went above and beyond to make Pablo proud, but man, I wish he could see what we have created and just how far we have come," he wrote.

The Hollywood Reporter reported in January that writer Chris Morgan and director James Wan would work with Universal Studios to rewrite the script in such a way that Walker's character Brian O'Conner was still a part of the movie. It also mentioned that, according to its sources, Walker's character was not going to be killed in the movie. The release date of the movie was postponed for eight months. The additional period was apparently allotted to write and shoot extra scenes to match the narrative while keeping Walker's character alive.

Diesel earlier mentioned that it had been quite difficult to finish the movie without Walker who was an integral part of it. Classicalite reported that Diesel had talked about the "emotionally traumatizing" process of returning to the movie franchise after Walker's death. Diesel said in his reminiscence of Walker as one of his closest friends in movie business that they had grown up as well as succeeded together in the business.

"Fast & Furious 7" is scheduled to release on April 3, 2015.
