Viral Video: Mad X-Men: Don Draper's Future Past (#XMen vs. #Mad Men) [Watch YouTube Clip]

A mash up video of the movies "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Mad Men" becomes a YouTube sensation after it amassed almost 300,000 views in just a matter four days.

The parody video produced by Quiznos Toaster takes Don Draper on a battle with the X-Men as the mutants Professor X, Mystique, Magneto, & Wolverine travels back in time during the 1960s era to prevent self-destruction which is the worst kind of destruction. The mutants have to protect Don Draper from caving in and taking down the entire humanity with his self-destruction.

Using an impersonator Don Draper in the three-minute long clip, the video was laden with ironic speeches. At the start of the clip Don Draper said: "What people call mutation was invented by guys like me to sell nylons."

When stopped to drink alcohol from a glass, Don Draper stated that if you really want respect you have to get it for yourself. When presented with the toaster of the town for protection, Don Draper goes off on a lengthy speech and said that it's not about an appliance. "When a man walks into his kitchen in the morning, he doesn't see a toaster, he sees an opportunity, a chance to escape the monotony of his life. He knows that when he puts a piece of bread in the magical aluminum box, it will come out transformed. Better, he becomes the master of his own destiny. That is what every man wants." But then, when Professor X raised his brow, Don Draper suddenly praised the toaster as a fantastic work.

When presenting the Quinos Italia pizza in the board room, Don Draper gave a quirky explanation to the horror of the board present. He opened his explanation with "My mother was a prostitute" making Wolverine scream in anger.

Don Draper also asked what it means to have two lives, two identities, to be split between two worlds and not have any control for either of them.

YouTube viewers who have watched the clip have only good reviews for the wonderfully done parody video clip. As user Nicole Arnold puts it : "Brilliant video by +Quiznos, producing content people actually want to see (especially me, being a huge fan of X-Men, Mad Men, and most forms of parody!)
