Viral Video of Woman Rapping Salt-N-Pepa Criticised, Husband’s East End Project Questioned
The viral video of a woman rapping Salt-N-Pepa is being accused of being just another viral video gimmick. In the 40-second clip titled "The cutest gangsta I know, my wife", 30-year-old Chelsea Ranger was secretly filmed by her husband Paulo Salomao while she was singing along a 1990s hit on the car radio.
The music video of the song titled "None Of Your Business" was nominated for Best Dance Video in the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards.

However, after it went viral on YouTube, the video received polarised opinions.
One of the negative comments read, "This is what you call a manufactured viral video, there was nothing spontaneous about it. It was all staged and scripted; manufactured by a company. These two are actors probably not even married either."
In addition, Salomao's work in digital media as the East End Project co-founder and creative director makes him prone to being accused of having ulterior motives in posting the video.
On the other hand, Salomao defended his video telling Washington Post, "I think the inside view of a couple enjoying each other's company is the main thing."
He added, "Maybe with so much vulgarism and people trying to gain attention online, when something true and innocent comes along, it gets the credit it deserves?"
