Virgil Hunter is certain that his protégé Amir Khan is going to give problems to any opponent if he is able to sustain growth in the manner that his career is growing right now. Whether it'd be Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquaio, or Kell Brook, Hunter believes that the Bolton-born welterweight champ can present a tough fight to the aforementioned opponents.

In an interview with Ring TV, Hunter revealed that he hasn't really given the idea of Khan fighting Pacquiao that much thought, but if his student is to face the eight-division world champion, he admitted that they would need to devise a different strategy.

According to Hunter, it would be hard to find a sparring partner who can mimic Pacquiao's style. However, he said that it would be a level playing field since it would also be tough to find someone who can duplicate that way that Khan fights. Hunter added that he would need to examine Khan and Pacquiao's past fighting sessions and gauge how those meetings went. He said that he would also take a gander at where both fighters are today, as far as the stage of their careers is concerned.

"But I would have to say that I would give Khan more than a better chance at winning that fight," Hunter said. "My personality is not to predict but I'm confident that he [Khan] would win that fight."

Even Khan's promoter retired six-time world champion Oscar De La Hoya believes that the Bolton-born boxer is faster than Pacquiao. De La Hoya said that Khan is at the peak of his boxing career right now and would certainly give Pacquiao and Mayweather problems.

Meanwhile, Khan is reportedly to get a decision about the Mayweather fight in two weeks, Sky Sports reports. Even though Mayweather has dismissed the idea of facing Khan in a recent statement claiming that the British boxer is not big enough, Khan remains optimistic that he will get an opportunity to clash Mayweather in the ring. He continues to crave for a Mayweather or Pacquiao fight before they retire from the sport. Khan also revealed that a fight against Kell Brook is also an option for his next bout.
