Australian filmmaker Justin Sisely will be giving away virgins weekly. He originally planned to make a feature-length documentary about a man and woman who auction their virginity to the highest bidder, but says he will instead produce a weekly reality show due to overwhelming demand for virgins.

Sisely's "Virgins Wanted" project has aroused controversy as expected when it was announced last year. The film saw a man and a woman, both virgins, giving their first time in bed to the higher bidder.

20-year-old Brazilian Catarina Migliorini received $780,000 after auctioning her virginity to a Japanese bidder who is known only as "Natsu."

His male counterpart, Alexander Stepanov, only received 8 bids. An Australian named Kasandra Darlinghurst won his virginity for $2,600, a measly amount compared to Catarina.

Nevertheless, the docu-film became a hit so now Sisely wants to repeat the same success, this time with a reality show.

"It is a factual series," he wrote in an email to The Huffington Post. "We have signed a distribution contract with a leading global multi-national distributor of television content."

And because of the popularity of "Virgins Wanted," the controversial filmmaker is planning to create a franchise with a new set of virgins.

"We are looking into a 'VW2' due to the large amounts of emails we are still receiving from virgins and potential bidders looking for virgins all over the globe. (At least 50 per week), he continued.

"We have received over 500 videos of men and women from all over the world outlining why they should be the next virgin to auction their virginity."

Although the series has a distributor, there has been no air dates announced yet.
