VOGUE And Other Fashion Companies Are Riding High On Kendall Jenner's Success Following Estee Lauder Announcement
Vogue magazine is calling Kendall Jenner the model-of-the-moment. Following her introduction as the new face of international beauty brand Estee Lauder, other brands in the fashion industry are riding the high crest of Kendall's wave and making sure that everyone is aware about their association with the brunette beauty.
Vogue hit the jackpot with an exclusive story about Kendall's new deal with Estee Lauder. The iconic fashion magazine also released a story on how the reality star transitioned from being an Instagram and social media sensation into a true fashion high roller. The big news was announced simultaneously by Vogue, Estee Lauder and Kendall herself through her Instagram account.
It wasn't very long before other brands jumped in to associate themselves with the new beauty and fashion star. Valentino immediately reposted Kendall's Instagram post where she announced her Estee Lauder news in a Valentino jacket from the Fall 2014 collection. They also offered her congratulations for the good news.
Meanwhile, Balmain's creative director and close family friend, Olivier Rousteing, also took the opportunity to congratulate Kendall and to highlight her association with the Balmain brand. He posted a photo of her, with the caption: "THE POP ARMY FOR VOGUE US @balmainparis#congratulations to the new @esteelauder FACE@kendalljenner #thisislove #thanku @voguemagazine#patrickdemarchelier"
Many other brands have worked with Kendall in the past year or so since she started he modelling career. Despite being in the industry for just over a year, she has already walked the runway for brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Chanel among others. She has also been a mainstay in catwalks during the prestigious fashion weeks of New York, Milan and Paris.
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour commended Estee Lauder for choosing Kendall to be their latest global ambassador. "What a fantastic decision that was! They have a wonderful brand that's very traditionally American, and they decided they want to shake it up and reach a different audience." she said during an interview at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for her Anna Wintour Costume Center. She said that choosing someone to bring excitement back to a brand is important just like how she chose Kendall's older sister Kim Kardashian to be on the Vogue cover earlier this year.
