The Voice Australia 2013 is gaining publicity over its coaches' rejection of former Leonardo's Bride vocalist Abby Dobson. Delta Goodrem called herself an idiot for not recognizing a fellow Aussie artist. Still, Dobson admitted to having a bruised ego after her failed audition.

The Voice judges/coaches - Seal, Joel Madden, Goodrem, and Ricky Martin - did not turn their seats after Dobson sang "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" during Blind Auditions on Apr. 21. Dobson has spoken to The Sydney Morning Herald about the experience.

"(T)he week after I recorded the show I felt winded, like 'wow!' It really bruised my ego," she said, adding, "(T)hat was the risk that I took and I'm OK with that. I'm still the same singer I was before the show." She went on to say that she was inspired by her friend, The Voice 2012 runner-up Darren Percival. She watched the show every week and eventually decided to go for it, too.

It was not all bad news for Abby. Her 1997 track "Even When I'm Sleeping" rose to No.16 on the iTunes chart a day after her The Voice blind audition was aired.

The Voice 2013 judges may have failed to recognize Dobson's talent, but many Aussies did not. They took to Twitter to remind Dobson just how talented she is.

"Abby Dobson you are a gifted singer and we've all been reminded how stunning your voice is tonight. Thank you," tweeted Jane Kennedy.

"Listening to #thevoiceau judges critique Abby Dobson just made me cringe horribly. She's an exceptional singer. Go see her LIVE, Australia," tweeted Jess Mcguire.
