The Voice Australia 2013 concluded its second "Showdowns" week by revealing who were favoured by the voting audience. Mentor/Judges Delta Goodrem, Ricky Martin, Joel Madden and Seal has once again let go of two contestants each, keeping Luke Kennedy among others.

Incidentally, Luke's cover of Andrea Bocelli's "Con te partirò" ("Time to Say Goodbye") is at the No.1 spot on the iTunes chart. The Voice Australia has already thrown this 30-year-old Queenslander into music contest stardom.

Mitchell Anderson (Team Seal), Luke Kennedy (Team Ricky), Celia Pavey (Team Delta) and Michael Stangel (Team Joel) were all saved by public votes.

Mitchell's win comes as no surprise because he and Jac Stone were the only stand-outs in Team Seal, considering overall marketability. Only one could move forward via public voting, but Jac won a sing-off against Shawne Kirke. The other judges, however, wanted Shawne to go through.

Other than Jac, contestants "saved" by the judges are: Danny Ross, Tim Morrison, and Caterina Torres. Early favourite Nathan Allgood was sent home for drawing the least number of votes.

After a sing-off, Delta couldn't make up her mind between Danny and Lyric McFarland, another early favourite on The Voice Australia. Seal and Ricky were pro-Danny. As a weird consolation prize, Joel said Lyric has one of the "best voices in the competition."

If 'The Voice Australia 2013' is all about crowd favourites, Ben Goldstein would have won against Tim Morrison. But Delta chose Tim, saying he's got a fighter's spirit and he exudes a commanding presence on stage.

After a brilliant sing-off between Caterina Torres and Emma Pask, Ricky Martin went with Caterina, saying she comes in an all-bases-covered package. Emma was the choice of Joel and Seal, though. Emma's comforted by Ricky's announcement that her self-produced jazz album made it to the top of the iTunes chart overnight!
