The Voice Australia 2013 kicked off its 'Showdowns' round Sunday on Nine. Team Seal and Team Ricky contestants were up, with early favorites Imogen Brough, Miss Murphy and Harrison Craig among the performers. Who brought their A-game?

Imogen Brough won out against Katie Carr during the Battles round a week ago. Despite some pitch problems in singing "She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)," Ricky thought she has more potential than Katie. Naturally, she sees the Showdowns as an opportunity for redemption.

Mentor Ricky Martin picked "The Voice" for Imogen, hoping the melody would showcase her raw vocal quality. It did not work out quite well, though. Delta Goodrem polished her critique by saying Imogen started off well with the song.

Ricky tells Imogen, "I'll always be here." In contrast to the other performers, Imogen is not likely to go through to the next round.

Miss Murphy, another early favorite, had a better time on stage for the Showdowns. Ricky thought Elton John's "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" is a good match to Miss Murphy's tone. The mentor is right this time around.

Miss Murphy's number was "'simply perfection," according to Ricky. She is one of four or five contestants who gave impressive numbers on this year's first showdown.

Harrison Craig took on Michael Buble's "Home." He sounds better when singing Joshn Groban, but the judges sounded as if he dished the vocals of the night. Delta said Seal's talent placed her with "Team Harrison." Below are some comments on Craig's number on Twitterverse. Incidentally, Craig went trending locally on Twitter after Sunday's performance.
