The Voice Australia 2013 'Showdowns' Review: Jackie Sannia, Steve Clisby Steal the Show

The Voice Australia 2013 delighted fans Monday night with performances from contestants in Team Delta Goodrem and Team Joel Madden. It appears as though Delta edged out on Joel in terms of her team's talent, with Jackie Sannia and Steve Clisby drawing more raves.

On The Voice 'Battle Rounds,' Jackie's vocals shone in her "My Immortal" duet with Jenna Dearness-Dark. Steve Clisby, on the other hand, was a Team Seal original. Delta used her singular save card for Steve after Seal chose Mitchell Anderson. Both singers were impressive in battles, but even more so in the Showdowns. The contestants were a showstopper in their respective turn on stage.

"Jackie Sannia's voice is just stunning. Definite favourite on the show," Twitter user chloejaiii commented online.

"How do I vote on the Voice thing? 1 million points to Steve Clisby," tweets marniewing.

Jackie, who has just turned 18, can possibly race to the finals via public vote alone. Her tone and celebrity appeal speak to her generation. She looks current and sounds relevant. Her performance of "Arithmetic" by Brooke Fraser could have made her a top favorite among tens of thousands of Aussie viewers.

Your voice is like a warm breeze, it just washes right over me," Seal described Jackie's performance.

Steve, 67, warmed many Aussie's hearts in his "Walking in Memphis" duet with Mitchell, 44. Delta, who had refused to use her save even on highly promising contestants, was convinced she saved her 'save' for a good reason. Steve's Showdown performance of "God Bless the Child" by Billie Holiday was truly moving.
