The Voice: Blind Audition Premieres Tonight, Meet The Contestants! (Watch Video, Spoliers Alert!)
"The Voice" is back and Season 5 is rocking it with new set of talented singers. The four red chairs are ready to turn and the four judges are ready to rock n' roll with their support team. Award-winning singer Cher will join Blake's team, singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will mentor Christina's team, One Republic's Ryan Tedder will be joining Adam's team and Grammy-award winner Miguel will mentor Cee Lo's team.
The format and rules are still the same for Season 5, but there could be some surprises along the way. "We reserve the right to introduce a new feature to the format that breathes new life into it," said Carson Daly.
The tonight's premiere is packed with chair turning contestants that will blow the coaches away.
Matthew Schuler
This 20-year old college student wowed the coaches when he took the stage and perform Young the Giants "Cough Syrup." In just a matter of seconds of his a capella opening Schuller managed to have four chairs turned. After a lot of sales pitch, the talented bagel shop employee joined Christina's team proven that a season rest is doing her good.
Donna Allen
A member of the Miami Sound Machine, Allen performed the "You Are So beautiful" and got 2 chairs turned for her. The 54-year old singer put his singing career on hold when took on the role as a mother, her soulful notes makes her a great threat to everyone. She chose to join Adam's team.
Caroline Pennell
She's a 17-year indie fan who managed to sing a ballad version of the Ellie Goulding track, "Anything Could Happen." She choose Cee Lo Green as her coach.
Jake Worthington
A cowboy from Texas, Jake sang "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" but sad to say nobody turns their chair for the 17-year old singer. "I don't know what the hell I was thinking, I screwed the pooch," said Shelton in regret.
Nic Hawk
He sang Blue Cantrell's hit song "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops)" with plenty of attitude and breath control. He ended up choosing Adam, "I don't know if I'm gonna be able to focus because you're so good looking," Hawk teased to Levine.
Josh Logan
Three chairs turned for this part-time musician and teen father, Josh Logan. The young singer sang "Too Close" and end up joining Christina's team.
Kat Robichaud
The talented female bandleader of The Design delivered a raspy rendition of The Kiki Dee Band's hit "I Got The Music In Me" and picked Cee Lo as her coach.
