Rap artist Snoop Dogg recently told Take40.com that "The Voice", the No. 1 singing competition in Australia today, is not likely to produce alums to the likes of Susan Boyle or One Direction.

According to Snoop Dogg, blind auditions will not work because there is more to voice that makes an artist.

"The Voice (producers) don't understand that you need more than a voice to be an artist. You could have the best voice ever but be as boring as hell. I don't see it producing a One Direction or Susan Boyle," Take40 quoted Snoop Dogg as saying.

Meanwhile, The Voice Australia posted under-two-million viewership only on Monday's live show final. Only 1.98 million viewers tuned in to the reality based singing competition, which used to pass the two million mark in viewership.

The Voice UK also performed poorly last weekend. Saturday's show only got 4.5 million viewers, while the figure was at 5.7 million a week ago. Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue took the stage as guests, but they did not draw in enough viewership, too.

The Voice creator and Dutch media mogul Jon de Mol has told Daily Mail he will meet with BBC executives after this Saturday's live final to talk about the show.

DM's Paul Revoir reported de Mol said the singing contest 'still has good ratings,' but 'they could have been better.'

Back in Australia, Rachael Leahcar, a favorite among the contestants in The Voice, will learn her fate on Monday. A Melbourne psychic has earlier said she will not win the competition despite her strong following since the first weeks of the show.
