The Voice Judge Delta Goodrem Admits "Sitting on Top of the World"
Delta Goodrem, one of the judges of "The Voice," "reveals that her song entitled "Sitting on top of the world" is the exact words that can describe her situation as of the moment.
In this interview with Delta Goodrem, the singer admits that even though she is tired, she is far from being stressed
"I think people can see it on my face, I'm just..., I'm not stressed. The song "Sitting on Top of the World" is about when you're in the right place, things are going smoothly. I'm so happy to be back to me again. In 2010, I started my quest to change my world. I realized it was time to move." says the singer.
Delta did not promote any album or any kind of TV show for the past five years. It seems like she is making up for the lost time since she is now active both in music and television. She is currently one of the judges in the widely popular TV show, The Voice, and is now the face of the vitamin company Swisse's new skincare range.
Many people were surprised regarding Delta's involvement with a reality TV show.
"I'd been offered a number of (reality) shows that had come to Australia. I never thought that would be on my radar. The first call (about The Voice) was from a friend who said I should be part of the show. I said, 'That's sweet of you to think of me, but absolutely not.' Then I had another couple of calls, so I was like, 'OK, I'll take the meeting, but it's still no". Goodrem said in an interview.
"It's not my role to hurt anyone's dreams, but when I discovered I'd be a coach - not a judge - that was different. When I found out the other coaches involved, we emailed each other, all asking 'Are you doing this?' Then I thought it would be fun." added the singer.
Though it seems like Delta is having the best time of her life, it is not without criticisms. Lately, Delta has been receiving accusations that her single was "totally ripped off" from the main riff of the song entitled Rebellion (Lies) by Arcade Fire.
Delta responded to this accusation stating that she did not copy anything from the band.
"I hadn't heard of (Rebellion (Lies)) until that moment and then I checked it out and was blown away. They're incredible. I think the whole thing was a bit of a storm in a teacup." said Goodrem.
