It is reported that Tessanne Chin was facing some personal issues that led her to get so emotional onstage while performing. According to Urbanislandz, Tessanne's friend had passed away which overwhelmed her during the performance. The reports by the Web site revealed that a source close to The Voice finalist revealed that she is definitely going through personal problems. "She is going through something but she is doing okay, Tessanne has a strong personality, she is so pure and she will make it through," said the source as reported by Urbanislandz.com.

Even though Tessanne Chin of Team Adam is going through personal problems, polls are in favor of her as The Voice Season 5 (2013) winner. According to a poll conducted by E News, 43% Americans believe that Tessanne Chin will win the show. Also, Yet another poll by entertainment Web site Wetpaint, reveals that 49% of the participants voted for Tessanne as The Voice 2013 winner. Also, reports have revealed that Coach Blake believes that the show will be won by the first ever Jamaican participant Tessane Chin.
