Season 5 of the "The Voice" has reached its crucial point and is touching new heights as the top 12 are headed to week 2 Live Playoffs. The show is in its final phase and to witness we have thrilling live shows week after week until the season finale. The eliminations have made the show hotter than ever as we enter week 2 of Live Playoffs. Spoilers and recap hint at the growing competition and rising tension and some awesome performances to witness.

On Thursday, Nov.7 2013, the top 12 singers of "The Voice" season 5 were announced and the audiences witnessed some tough decisions that were made amongst the top 20 on the stage during eliminations episode in week 1 of "Live Playoffs."

Blake Shelton's and Adam Levine's teams said some sad goodbyes while CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera's teams bid goodbyes to the weak ones in the team and top 20. In total, eight were sent home, two from each team and the remaining 12 entered the second week of the live shows challenge.

In the past week, the show aired three times, as a one-hour episode. In the first, episode of week 1 "Live Playoffs" on Nov. 4 we saw teams Blake and Adam perform and on second day Nov.5 we had Teams Cee Lo and Christina perform, following which we had elimination on Nov. 7 episode.

Team Cee Lo performed on the song "Give a Litltle Bit" by Supertamp. Amber Nicole and Tamar Chauniece were eliminated. Caroline Pennell and Jonny Gray were saved by votes and Kat Robichaud was saved by coach and figured in top 12.

Team Christina performed on "Love Somebody" by Maroon 5. Jacquie Lee and Matthew Schuler were saved by votes and Josh Logan was saved by coach. Olivia Henken and Stephanie Anne Johnson got eliminated.

Team Adam performed on "Safe and Sound" by Capital Cities. James Wolpert and Tessanne Chin were saved by votes and Will Champlin was saved by Coach. Preston Pohl and Grey got eliminated.

Team Blake performed on "Free Ride" by The Edgar Winter Group. Austin Jenckes and Cole Vosbury were saved by public votes and Ray Boudreaux was chosen by coach. Nic Hawk and Shelbie Z were sent home.

James Wolpert's votes were multiplied by 5 as he was the only "The Voice" season 5 contestants whose version of "A Case of You" originally by Joni Mitchell reached the top 10 chart on iTunes.

Following the same format, "The Voice" has entered its week 2 "Live Shows" round. The top 12 performed on Monday, Nov. 11. The performances are done and now the results are waiting as the situation on the "The Voice" stage tenses up.
