"The Voice" Season 5 has reached its final stages and the reality singing competition show is only two weeks away from its final round. On Tuesday night Dec. 3, 2013 top 5 contestants were revealed who will compete in semifinals round in Week 6 of Live Playoffs and elimination. After performing in top 6 performances round in Week 5 (Quarterfinals), the remaining contestants were narrowed down to final 5 through general public voting and "instant save." The Voice Season 5 Week 5 (Quarterfinals) Eliminations: Top 5 Revealed (Spoilers and Recap)

In its final rounds, the contestants of "The Voice" Season 5 are struggling hard to prove their mettle to the audience and garner maximum votes from them. In Week 5 round there were only 6 contestants who were competing with each other along with three coaches in the game. Coach Cee Lo Green bid goodbye to his last hope on Week 4 itself.

In the quarterfinal round i.e. Week 5 of Live Playoffs and elimination, judges/coaches had no say in eliminations. Remaining contestants were totally at the mercy of viewers vote and voting through "instant save." Dec. 3 episode was the last episode to use "instant save" feature during the elimination round.

The Voice Season 5 Week 5 (Quarterfinal) Elimination Episode

The elimination episode of The Voice Season 5 Week 5 (Quarterfinal) had quite a few worth mentioning performances by celebrities and contestants. Singer Kelly Clarkson who was discovered on the rival reality singing competition show "American Idol" performed her new single "Underneath the Tree."

Besides, her scintillating performance, the audience witnessed Jacquie Lee's, Matthew Schuler's and Tessanne Chin's performance on the song "You Got the Love" by Candi Staton.

Coach Blake Shelton took the stage with Xenia and performed a timeless classic song "Silver Bells."

Nuno Bettencourt was accompanied by Cole Vosbury, James Wolpert and Will Champlin to perform their song "More Than Words." And the last performance of the elimination episode was a group performance by the top 6 contestants of yet another classic Christmas carol "O Holy Night."

The Voice Season 5 Week 5 (Quarter Final) Results: Top 5 Revealed

The Voice Season 5 Week 5 witnessed a shocking elimination of Matthew Schuler from Team Christina who was voted off by the viewers. The last minute savior "instant save" rescued James Wolpert from Team Adam from the bottom two.
