"The Voice" Season 5 trophy is rightly claimed by Jamician singing talent Tessane Chin. Before entering the finale on Dec 16, Tessane Chin told Hollywoodlife.com that she was happy to beat other contestants and was given the chance to enter in the Season 5 Finale.

"I did my best, and gave 150 percent of what I could! Especially with the Whitney song, I knew that if I did that well, I could leave here ... with no regrets. I'm not going to worry about [the finale]; it's out of my hands. I'm going to drink a little rum, have a wonderful time with friends and get some sleep."

Tessane entered the finale with the grandiloquent version of Whitney Houston number "I have nothing". Tessane belonged to Adam Levine team. The two singers who competed with Tessane in finale were Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin. All three singers put their best foot forward in the Dec. 16 & 17 finale episodes and in the opinion of the judges as well as "The Voice" fans, Chin clearly conquered the show.

Since her debut in "The Voice," Tessane has made quite a lot of fans and out of them the most notable one is Def Leppard. The band hails Tessane for her angelic voice and when the band performed in "The Voice" on Dec 16 they give the Jamaican born singer their seal of approval.

Regarding the appreciation Tessane got from Def Leppard, she told Hollywoodlife.com,"I appreciate that, it's crazy to hear that. It's been a long journey, and to look back at the 'Try' video - it's almost been a year since my first audition, and it's been worth it. All the hard work and effort; I'm really happy!"

Tessane performed for 12 weeks before performing in the show. After winning the trophy, Tessane cried tears of happiness as Jamaica celebrated her victory along with her.
