'The Voice' Season 6 (2014) Battle Rounds Spoilers: Everything You Need to Know About This Stage

Coaches Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton chose 48 artists during the first stage of the show called blind auditions. First stage of "The Voice" Season 6 (2014) welcomed all sorts of talent, though only few were selected. But in Week 4 Episode 7 the real competition begins when the coaches will take the task of judging and narrow down the number of artists from 48 to 24.

How do they do it? During the battle rounds, each coach will pair two of his or her team members to perform on the same song. The coaches will judge the performance of the two artists performing together and will select the better one to advance to the next level i.e. Knockout rounds. During this stage coaches are assisted by the celebrity mentors as selected by them.

Each season of "The Voice" welcomes new celebrity mentors. This year, advising Team Shakira is Blake Shelton's wife and singer Miranda Lambert. The Band Perry will be assisting Team Blake, Grammy Winning artist Jill Scott is assisting Team Usher and Aloe Blacc will be mentoring Team Adam.

To add to the excitement, coaches and eliminated artists can look forward to "steal" feature at this stage. If an artist has been eliminated by his or her coach during the battle rounds he may have the chance to be recruited on another team if he or she manages to impress another coach and the coach decides to "steal."
