On May 20, 2014, soul singer Josh Kaufman was crowned as the winner of "The Voice" Season 6 (2014). Josh who was battling from Team Usher, won the most coveted trophy and the title after beating Jake Worthington from Team Blake and Christina Grimmie from Team Adam . This season's shocking results broke Blake Shelton and Adam Levine's monopoly on "The Voice." This is Usher's first ever "The Voice" victory since he joined the show in season 4. Results of the show were based on public votes. Viewers voted for their favourite artist on the basis of their finale performances.

iTunes downloads play a big role in the voting process. Unfortunately, there was a technical glitch in iTunes charts that listed Josh Kaufman's solo performance of Adele "Set Fire to the Rain" under the albums and not songs. Fans were unable to locate the song which may have resulted in the loss of valuable votes for Josh.

Host Carson Daly addressed the issue during "The Voice" Season 6 (2014) finale. He announced that iTunes votes will not be counted and it was informed that such a step will not affect the results.

Josh is a comeback artist. He began with Team Adam but was dropped by Coach Adam Levine after being defeated by Delvin Choice in battles round. While Adam Levine decided to send him back home, Coach Usher stole and recruited him on his team.

As his last bid for the votes, Josh Kaufman performed "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" as his reprise song and "Set the Rain to Fire" as his solo song. The results were announced after the two hour gala event which saw several special performances including performances by celebrities like Ed Sheeran, Tim McGraw, Coldplay, One Republic, Robin Thicke and more.

The show also featured performances by top 3 finalists, Christina Grimmie, Josh Kaufman and Jake Worthington. Also returning to "The Voice" stage for the last time were season 6's eliminated contestants. At the end of the show, host Carson Daly declared Josh Kaufman as the winning contestant and Usher as the winning coach. As soon as the announcement was made, crowd broke into a loud applause and Josh thanked Usher for recognizing his talent.

Nonetheless, Christina Grimmie has been offered a record deal by her Coach Adam Levine. He made the big revelation during the finale and also tweeted on Twitter about it.
