"The Voice" Season 7 (2014) has entered finals round, wherein the top four artists—Matt McAndrew, Craig Wayne Boyd, Damien Lawson and Chris Jamison—performed to win the final votes of American viewers to become the ultimate winner. The two coaches in competition, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, also joined their respective team members on stage for duet performances. 'The Voice' Season 7 Finale/Finals Round
Last week "The Voice" Season 7 (2014) revealed its finalists during the Semifinals elimination episode. The results were based on votes given by American viewers during the voting window. Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison from Team Adam and Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake were selected as the three finalists. In a surprise twist in the format, the show introduced a fourth spot among the finalists through a wildcard entry. Beating nine artists in the competition, Damien Lawson from Team Adam took the fourth place.
The show kicked off its finale week or finals round on Monday night, Dec. 15, 2014 with a performance episode. The four finalists hit the stage for one last time to win the "The Voice" viewers' votes. The finals featured three performances each by the four finalists. The top 4 delivered a solo song performance and a duet performance with their respective coaches. Also, each one of them presented an original composition.
'The Voice' Season 7 (2014) Final Performance Episode/Finale (Recap, Spoilers)
"The Voice" Season 7 (2014) finale week kicked off with a performance by Team Adam finalist Damien. He sang "A Song for You" by Donny Hathaway. He was followed by Team Blake contestant Craig Wayne Boyd. He sang an original song titled "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face."
Next up were Team Adam contestants Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison. Chris Jamison took the stage to perform the first duet of the night with his coach Adam Levine. The duo sang Robin Thicke's "Lost Without You." Matt McAndrew kick started his final round performances by singing an original composition. He sang a song titled "Wasted Love."
Next up were Craig Wayne Boyd and his coach Blake Shelton. For their duet performance, they sang Randy Houser's "Boots On." They were followed by a duet from Damien and Adam Levine. They performed "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" by Elton John.
Chris Jamison hit the stage once again to perform his original composition called "Velvet." Singing "Lost Stars" from Maroon 5 album, Matt McAndrew and Adam Levine delivered the last duet performance of "The Voice" Season 7 (2014) finale.
Next up was Craig Wayne Boyd performing a solo song. He performed a rendition of Alabama's "In Pictures." For his original song performance, Damien sang "Soldier." For their solo song performances Chris Jamison performed Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River" and Matt McAndrew sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from "The Wizard of Oz."
"The Voice" Season 7 (2014) will return with a two-hour grand finale featuring celebrity performances and declaration of the results on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. For those unfamiliar, the artist who will earn the maximum number of votes from American viewers will be the winner of 2014's fall instalment.
