‘The Voice’ Season 7 Recap, Spoilers: Knockout Round Begins; Taylor Swift Joins As Common Advisor
"The Voice" Season 7 (2014) kick started third level of competition, the Knockout rounds, on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014. The remaining contestants performed once again to impress the judges-Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton-and face the elimination. 'The Voice' Season 7 (2014) Knockout Rounds
Last week fans saw the end of Battle rounds. The competition has now narrowed down to 32 contestants. Just like the previous level, the contestants from each team will be paired to perform songs while their judges make the tough decision of eliminating one of them. Judges will also get the opportunity to make one steal each.
'The Voice' Season 7 (2014) Knockout Rounds--Part 1 Recap [Spoilers]
The show kicked off with a performance by contestants from Team Gwen. Bryana Salaz and Sugar Jones were paired together. Brayana performed "Heart Attack" by Demi Lovato and Sugar performed "Love on Top" by Beyonce. This was a tough decision for Gwen Stefani to make. Scroll down for the results.
Next to perform were contestants from Team Blake. James David Carter performed "You've Got a Friend" by Carole King and Griffin sang "As Long as You Love Me" by Justin Bieber.
They were followed by a pair from Team Pharrell. DaNica Shirey performed "Saving All My Love for You" by Whitney Houston. Competing against her was Katriz Trinidad, who performed "Superwoman" by Alicia Keys.
From Team Adam, fans saw the performance of Damien and Toia Jones. Damien sang "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes and Toia sang "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce.
Contestants from Team Blake took the stage next. Jessie Pitts and Tanner Linford performed to compete against each other. Jessie sang "Your Song" by Elton John and Tanner sang "Calling All Angels" by Train.
Next up were artists from Team Pharrell. Luke Wade performed "Rich Girl" by Hall & Oates and Taylor Phelan performed "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne.
"The Voice" Season 7 (2014) Knockout Rounds--Part 1 Results
Team Gwen: Bryana Salaz won the round and Coach Pharrell Williams stole Sugar Jones.
Team Blake: James David Carter won the round and Griffin was eliminated.
Jessie Pitts defeated Tanner Linford , who was eliminated.
Team Pharell: DaNica Shirey won the Knockouts and Katriz was sent home.
Luke Wade won the round and Taylor Phelan was stolen by Coach Adam Levine.
Team Adam: Damien advanced to the next level and Toia was sent home.
"The Voice" Season 7 (2014) will return with Knockout Round Part 2 on Oct. 28. The show airs at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.
