'The Walking Dead' Influenced Human Flesh Burger: Ingredients Revealed
London Chef Jim Thomlinson has done intensive research to perfect his human flesh burger, according to HLN TV. Using real-life cannibals' accounts of their taste with the human essence, Thomlinson started to experiment with various ingredients that when put together, tastes just like fresh human meat.
William Seabrook, the 1920s cannibal and journalist, described his taste of human flesh "as not like any other meat" he had ever tasted.
"It was so nearly like good, fully developed veal that I think no person with a palate of ordinary, normal sensitiveness could distinguish it from veal," he said according to the site.
Other testaments from various cannibals throughout mankind's history were reportedly also used for Chef Jim Thomlinson's human flesh burger experiment. Mamamia posted a photo of their collated testimonials. Known cannibals such as Alfred Packer claimed his taste of man's breasts was "the sweetest meat" he has ever tasted. Likewise, Issei Sagawa also likened the human meat to "raw tuna" that melts in the mouth.
Based on these cannibals' accounts, the human meat allegedly tastes like veal or pork. So Thomlinson used a combination of ingredients. Pork, veal, chicken livers and bone marrow were cooked together to achieve the human meat version for his human flesh burger recipe.

According to the Daily Star, the human flesh burger was created to celebrate the Season 5 premiere of Fox's hit TV series "The Walking Dead."
"With fans hungry for season five this is certainly a unique tribute to the series," Jim Thomlinson said.
The London chef claimed his "food is usually inspired by flavour combinations and fresh produce." So it was reportedly a departure from the norm to be influenced this time by the world's known cannibals. Chef Jim Thomlinson called on the adventurous spirit of some who are willing to taste his human flesh burger. His food creation will be available in London on Sept. 30.
"The location remains a mystery -- much like your meat -- but you can follow the #TerminusTavern hashtag on Twitter for hot-off-the-grill updates," he told Daily Star.
