Fox Germany has unveiled a new kind of a campaign to attract the female fans of "The Walking Dead." Electronic billboards have been installed in Berlin subway. The billboards show models who turn into zombies.

Creepy as hell. Well, what else can you expect out of "The Walking Dead" commercial.

A Berlin agency named Saint Elmo developed the campaign exclusively for Fox Germany. The billboard appears like any other. It advertises a makeup remover - "Good Night Cleansing Program" but as someone approaches the ad, the model turns into a horrifying zombie. The ad quickly showcases "The Walking Dead" logo and the tagline "Season Four First on Fox."

Creative Managing Director of Saint Elmo, Dennis Pfisterer told The Hollywood Reporter, "The campaign was inspired by a surprising insight - that the horror genre is now as popular with women as it is with men."

"We drastically countered the outdated cliche that all horror fans are male by using a cliched image in the style of a beauty product ad, so that we could appeal above all to female horror fans, alongside male fans, with this concept of a 'makeup removal program for good TV nights.'"

Both Fox and Saint Elmo conducted researches and found out that female viewers are avid fans of "The Walking Dead." And why not, the show offers almost everything, from cutting-edge action to drama to zombie killings.

Fox Germany also mentioned to The Hollywood Reporter that the campaign is, currently, for a few subway stations in Berlin. But, soon it could be rolled out across prominent cities in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. It will cover the territories where Fox Germany takes "The Walking Dead."
