"The Walking Dead," AMC's super hit show, has a superb fan following but still it has not made a mark in the prestigious award shows like Golden Globe and Emmys. There is one award show that honours on the basis of how much the fans love the TV series or its characters. It is the People's Choice Awards.

Even if People's Choice Award is not as renowned as Golden Globe or Emmys, it is still important for actors and other members of the team.

On Nov. 5, nominations for the 2014 People's Choice Awards were announced. The fans select the winner from different categories, and they can vote for their favourite show or actor as many times as they want.

"The Walking Dead" is nominated in 4 categories:

1. "The Walking Dead" for Favourite Cable TV Drama and it is competing against "Pretty Little Liars," "White Collar," "Sons of Anarchy" and "Downton Abbey."

2. Andrew Lincoln for playing the character of Rick Grimes in Favourite TV Anti-Hero. He is up against Jaime Lannister of "Game of Thrones," Dexter Morgan of "Dexter," Walter White of "Breaking Bad" and Norman Bates of "Bates Motel."

3. "The Walking Dead" for Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show. It is up against "The Vampire Diaries," "Supernatural," "Once Upon a Time" and "Beauty and the Beast."

4. Andrew Lincoln, once again, for Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor. He will face Ian Somerhalder of "TheVampire Diaries," Stephen Amell of "Arrow" and Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki of "Supernatural."

Surprisingly, none of "The Walking Dead" female actors made it on the nominations list. Moreover, they also missed Norman Reedus' bu** kicking performance as Daryl Dixon. But, we are happy that Andrew Lincoln is nominated. So, "The Walking Dead" fans can vote as many times as they like for him as well as for the show.

The People's Choice Award is scheduled to hit the air waves on Jan. 8, 2014 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can vote at PeoplesChoice.com, Facebook or Twitter and via People's Choice official voting app through Dec. 5, 2013. The voting lines on the website are open.
