The Walking Dead: Scott Gimple Knows How TV Show Will End
"The Walking Dead" is not ending after Season 5, the bosses already have plans to take the show beyond Season 10. However, the zombie show will see its end someday and showrunner Scott Gimple knows where the show is headed.
Recently, Scott talked to Collider and mentioned that he knows nothing about the upcoming spin-off series. However, he has an idea how "The Walking Dead" will end.
"I actually don't like spoiling myself on the comic," said the showrunner.
"I read it as I go. Robert's offered to tell me the whole thing, so I get general sort of aspects of it. I know the emotional end game of the show, but there's practical aspects to the end game that I want to keep with the comic. With these characters, you definitely have to think of the emotional end game and that is very much a part of where I'm headed. But I want to have the flexibility to change the practicals [with] the comic and I don't want Robert to spoil the whole series for me."
"The Walking Dead" plans to go beyond Season 10. What about the fate of the key characters like Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus)?
In 2012, Robert Kirkman talked to Daily Dead and revealed that he knows where Rick's story is heading. He stated that "Rick will not survive the entire run of the book." It is not clear when Rick will die in the comic books or on the show for that matter.
However, it will be interesting to see as to who all will make it till the end of "The Walking Dead."
Do you think the current cast will be present in "The Walking Dead" Season 10 or 11?
