‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Carl and Michonne’s Friendship: ‘A Lot to be Revealed’ in the Forthcoming Episodes
"The Walking Dead" season 4 returned after the prison war and viewers witnessed the characters in a different light. Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene are bonding and so are Tara Chambler and Glenn Rhee, Carol and Tyreese, and Sasha and Bob. Fans also saw Michonne and Carl bond in "The Walking Dead" season 4, episode 11, "Claimed." However, they formed this bond in season 3, "Clear," in the last episode, it got strengthened.
Carl Grimes knows the name of Michonne's son. In fact, he was eager to know more about him. During the supply run, Michonne opened up about her life, and their friendship grew stronger.
Robert Kirkman, comic book writer talked to TheWalkingDead.com about Carl and Michonne's friendship.
"I think at this point, Carl would be clinging to anyone to try to have a connection to someone outside of his father. He's had a great many people that he cared a lot about taken away from him," said Robert.
Carl lost Lori, Hershel and Shane, and he loved them dearly.
"He's also definitely formed a bond with Michonne in the past, and there's a lot of intricacies to how that bond works and what both characters are getting out of it. Specifically, that will come to pass in upcoming episodes, so there's definitely still a lot to be revealed when it comes to Michonne and Carl."
Michonne lost her son and Carl lost her mother. They are certainly bonding like mother and son. She is a kicka** combo of Shane and Hershel, and he wants someone like that in his life.
Fans are closely watching them and would love to see their friendship blossom in the future episodes.
How will Rick react to this? He thanked Michonne for making his son laugh in episode 11.
"The Walking Dead" season 4 episodes air on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
