The premiere episode of "Walking Dead" season 4 titled "30 Days Without an Accident" initiated the new season with a bang. Season 4 is filled with more zombies than ever in the show. The new elements incorporated will certainly shock the viewers.

In the "Walking Dead" season 4 episode 1, Rick was lured by a woman who said that she and her husband had no food for four days and would want to join the camp. It turned out that the woman's husband was a zombie.

Andrew Lincoln revealed in an interview that the new season is destined to take more ghastly turns that would keep fans on the edge of their seats. He also talked about the new disease that got Carl's friend Patrick and Rick's pig infected. The new illness is going to make things worse for the inhabitants who wished to start things afresh.

Andrew teased that something terrible happens in one of the episodes of "Walking Dead" season 4 that divides the group decisively. He remarked that he loves this story arc. The pressure on the group is only going to get intense with each passing episode.

He praised the efforts of the new show-runner Scott M. Gimple who is the in-charge now. Andrew also mentioned that the every character has a satisfying and clean role in this season.

As obtained by Andrew's interview with Entertainment Weekly radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) interview, "The theme could be summed up as a question, which is: Can we ever come back? Can we ever return from the things we've done? The brutality of the world? The horrors that we've seen? Can we ever love again? Can we ever be the people we once were for the sake of our children, in Rick's case? But that is interwoven into everybody's story arcs."
