‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Second Half: Daryl Dixon Believes Everyone’s Dead in the Thrilling Second-Half Episodes Reveal Norman Reedus
The Governor's failed attempt to take over the prison crushed Rick and other survivors and they were forced to leave the prison. They lost their home and loved ones especially Hershel. In the process of fleeing, they also lose each other. When "The Walking Dead" season 4 returns with the back eight episodes, things will not be the same. Daryl Dixon knows that Rick asked Carol to leave the prison after she killed two infected inmates in order to stop the infection. Rick and Daryl face-off might be in store when the show returns on February 9.
In an interview to Entertainment Weekly, Norman Reedus talked about the Daryl-centric episode, new dynamics in the show, focus on small groups and Hershel's death.
First off, Norman Reedus stated Daryl Dixon believes everyone's dead after the prison war.
"Everything is gone. Everyone is on the run. Daryl had found an identity with these people and was starting to feel good about himself in a lot of ways but everything has just come crashing to a halt. He assumes everyone is dead. He's got to start over. Everyone is in a really bad place right now," says Reedus.
He also told Entertainment Weekly that "The Walking Dead" season second-half episodes are the best ones yet. From the storyline to acting to writing and directing, everything is top class.
Norman Reedus explained the importance of smaller group stories on "The Walking Dead."
"You get an understanding of why certain characters are who they are, why they fight for what they fight for, or why they don't fight. You really get an in-depth look at characters like you've never seen before."
The Consequences of Hershel Greene's Death
According to Reedus, Hershel's exit was pretty tough. Reedus remembers Scott Wilson has a fine actor, and he shall be missed on "The Walking Dead."
Daryl Dixon's Big Solo Episode on "The Walking Dead" Season 4
"There's a big Daryl episode coming up soon. It was such a grueling, hard shoot, but it came out really well. There's a couple other episodes based around other characters who do some of the best work you've seen them do. I can't wait for people to see these back eight," explained Norman
"The Walking Dead" season 4 episode 9 airs Sunday, February 9 on AMC.
