Georgia is buzzing these days. The big stars from "The Walking Dead" have been arriving there for filming Season 5 of AMC's zombie show. According to a post on The Spoiling Dead Fans, the big names including Norman Reedus, Emily Kinney, Chad Coleman, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Christian Serratos, Alanna Masterson, Danai Gurira and others have arrived. Also, unconfirmed reports reveal "The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 1's writer and director.

October 2014 is still far away, but fans are excited that the filming has begun with "The Walking Dead" stars hitting the set in May. Meanwhile, the scripts for 16 episodes will be done by summer. Rumours have it that producer and special effects maestro Greg Nicotero is set to direct "The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 1.

Spoil The Dead shared a TWD Wikia note (in Spanish) mentioning that Season 5, Episode 1 will be written by Angela Kang and Matt Negrete and Greg will direct the same. Episode 1 of Season 5 has not been given a name.

"The Walking Dead" Season 4, Episode 2 "Infected," Episode 12 "Still" and Episode 16 "A" (with showrunner Scott Gimple) were written by Angela. Episode 4 "Indifference" was penned by Matthew, he also shared the writing duties with Channing Powell for Episode 10 "Inmates."

Wetpaint notes that "The Walking Dead" premiere episodes have been written by the showrunners - Season 1, Episode 1 by Frank Darabont, Season 3, Episode 1 Glen Mazzara, Season 4's premiere by Scott Gimple.
