‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5: Human Flesh Burgers Unveiled To Celebrate TWD’s New Season
This burger tastes like human flesh and it is said to be yummy. These human flesh burgers will be served at Terminus Tavern pop-up restaurant in London. Chef James Thomlinson created the burger that tastes like human flesh. Thomlinson crafted the burger to celebrate "The Walking Dead" Season that premieres Sunday, Oct. 12 on AMC.
According to a report by Yahoo, the burgers are supposed to taste just like human flesh. Moreover, of the texture will be similar. Thomlinson and Miss Cakehead, a London food artist, were asked to come up with something special for "The Walking Dead" Season 5 by Fox U.K.
Thomlinson did his research for the perfect recipe that will help create the human flesh burger. He studied author William Seabrook, who asked a medical student to get him human meat. Seabrook turned the meat into 'tasty vittles'.
The author wrote in his book "Jungle Ways" that the meat "was like good, fully developed veal; not young, but not yet beef. It was very definitely like that, and it was not like any other meat I had ever tasted."
He added that it was close to "good, fully developed veal." Thomlinson talked to Yahoo TV and stated that Seabrook's description as well as serial killers like Alfred Packer, Dorangel Vargas and Issei Sagawa helped him create "The Walking Dead" burger. The burger is made of pork, bone marrow and veal.
The London Mess chef is hoping that the burgers will be a hit. "They're really tasty, [but] it does taste different. It's not something that you are used to when you are putting a burger in your mouth really... It's not a very strong beefy flavor, which you expect. It's actually quite a fairly mild sort of taste, but the combination of the veal and pork together in a mince just gives you a sensation that it's not a meat that you have tried before. Which is what I was trying to go for basically with the simulation of human flesh."
The texture of "The Walking Dead" burger is said to be good and juicy. The extra juiciness of the burger is because of the bone marrow. Thomlinson assures that he has used only good quality meat for the burger.
These burgers will be given free to those who can accept the idea of eating something that closely resembles human flesh. Check out the recipe, here.
