‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 New Poster: Rick Grimes Must Survive
AMC released the first poster for "The Walking Dead" season 5 featuring Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Season 4 saw Rick and team locked up in the Terminus. Rick was ready to do anything to survive. When one of the marauders attempted to rape Carl Grimes, Rick jumped in and saved his life. This new poster is certainly a ray of hope. "Survive," screams the poster.
Right from season 1, Rick and others have been trying their best to survive. They fought alone and in groups. They were up against one walker and at times they battled a big herd. During the course of their journey they also fought against mean forces like the Governor, Joe's marauders group.
This new poster by AMC shows Rick Grimes crouching with a gun in his hands. He is bathed in sunlight and "Survive" scribbled above. The new Rick Grimes is more than ready to survive and with his new weapon - the teeth - he can surely knock down a couple of evil monsters (only the living ones).

Why did Rick become this new brutal Rick Grimes? In "The Walking Dead" season 4, episode 16 finale, "A" Rick and team run into Joe's group including Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus). Joe says that he wants to have the boy (Carl) and the woman (Michonne). Then, he wants to shoot Rick in the head. The marauders want to avenge the death of one of their group members whom Rick killed in the earlier episodes of season 4.
When one of the marauders advance towards Carl, Rick's inner monster surfaces. He bites Joe in the neck and fatally stabs the fat guy advancing towards Carl.
Later, Daryl Dixon reunites with Rick and party. Rick spots Glenn's watch presented to him by Hershel Greene. He is furious now and takes the Terminus guy on gunpoint. However, they find out later that the roof of the Terminus is filled with gunmen. They start to fire at Rick, Daryl's feet.
Rick and others quickly enter an empty trailer only to find other folks inside except Carol, Judith and Tyreese.
Rick says that they have picked up a fight with the wrong guys.
For them, survival is the key here.
"The Walking Dead" season 5 starts this October 2014 on AMC.
