‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Episode 14 is the perfect setup for a big kill in season finale
“The Walking Dead” Season 6 Episode 14, “Twice as Far,” was a low key affair, compared to the last few episodes.
[Spoiler Alert] However, it was able to deliver two big shockers. Denise (Merritt Wever) dies and Carol (Melissa McBride) goes somewhere that is not Alexandria. Daryl (Norman Reedus) is completed again as he finds his crossbow and bike. However, before he found his crossbow, someone else used it to put an arrow through Denise’s brains.
“The Walking Dead” through this episode tried to prove that in a zombie world, death does not follow a pattern. Anyone and everyone can die. The randomness of death is well projected in this episode.
Denise joined Daryl and Rosita (Christian Serratos) in a drugs-foraging mission, though she was not much of a fighter. She finally ended up dead after not following instructions from her more experienced mates.
Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) were also out to find a place where they can make ammo.
It was Dwight’s arrow that pierced Denise’s head and killed her. However, Eugene was able to bite off a part of Dwight’s groin. This created a distraction that helped Daryl and company. The episode revolved around female characters and Eugene.
“The Walking Dead” fans have started contemplating which big fish will be killed off in the season finale. Carol, Maggie, Michonne, Daryl, Glenn and Rick are definitely the fan favourites. However, Abraham may be taking the blow as he is not that loved by fans. This would also establish Negan as the most monstrous threat in the upcoming season. However, it can also be Daryl who could be leaving the show.
Carol’s departure from Alexandria is also a thing to worry. She turned badass from being soft and afraid. However, now that she has grown distaste for violence and has left the group, it would be interesting to see if it means suicide for her or she will comeback with renewed energy after a bit of soul-searching.
“The Walking Dead” airs on Foxtel on Mondays, 1:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
