'The Walking Dead' season 9: Details of two new characters
With the end of the war against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and the deaths of some of the main characters, there will be some new additions in “The Walking Dead” season 9. At least two of these new characters will be familiar to the fans who have been reading the comics on which the TV series is based.
According to a report by ComicBook.com, Eleanor Matsuura has been cast in the role of Yumiko. In the comics, Yumiko is a part of a group that lives in the Washington D.C. area.
Yumiko is a gay character and is seen mostly with her partner Magna. There has been no confirmation yet about the casting of Magna, but with Yumiko making an appearance it is highly likely that the fans will get to see her partner as well.
In the comics, Yumiko travels back to Alexandria after she meets Jesus. A lot has changed over the years, and the community in Alexandria has developed a new detailed interview process to test people before letting them in. It remains to be seen how the TV series will treat this storyline.
Matsuura has been a part of many TV shows and she has also leant her voice to characters in video games. The actress has been a part of “Doctor Who,” “Da Vinci’s Demons,” and “Into the Bad Lands.” She has leant her voice to games like “Star Wars: Battlefront II” and “Planet if the Apes: Last Frontier.” She has also been a part of the hit movie “Wonder Woman.”
There will be a time jump in “The Walking Dead” season 9. The world will become even more wild, with nature taking over the abandoned cities and towns. The heroes will also start running out of fuel, so they will use horses and carts to travel.
