"The Walking Dead" season 4 episode 5, "Internment" saw the return of the bada** David Morrissey as The Governor. Damn, the name sends a chill down our spines! The Governor, the man who killed many of his folks of Woodbury in season 3 finale of the show, returned at the end of "Internment."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, David Morrissey talks about the eyepatcher's sinister plans.

"He's looking for safety, and the main thing for the prison is it's the safe place to be," David told the magazine about The Governor's arrival at the prison. "It's the alternative of our world in the zombie apocalypse. The prison is a place of protection, not a place of incarceration, so that's why he's looking at it. He's looking at the building, I would suggest, rather than the people in it," he said.

Is The Governor ready to make peace with Rick and party or does he seeks vengeance?

David said that his character is confrontation in any form. "I think it's fair to say that at the end of Season 3 we left him in a very difficult space. He had turned on his own people and he didn't do that with any pleasure. He's not somebody who was doing that in any premeditated way... I think what we'll see in the coming episodes is someone who is coming to terms with that new person that we saw at the end of Season 3 - whether he's embracing that person or fighting that person," David explained.

David told Entertainment Weekly that The Governor is still the same man, and it is not possible to erase his past or change the way the character is. He added that The Governor at the beginning of "The Walking Dead" season 3 was a different person; he wanted to build the future of Woodbury. He had a plan to build the future of the place. But when those plans crashed, he was left alone with his two henchmen.

David mentioned that The Governer we will see is dealing with the losses. He is still very dangerous and he knows that.

We know what The Governor is capable of and it is only a matter of time that he will unleash his full powers and come down on Rick and others.
